WORDPRESS DEVELOPMENT
Built properly, WordPress is a site you own, can edit, and can hand to anyone. Built badly, it's forty plugins and a login you're afraid to use.
WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS
The difference is what's underneath.
Most small-business WordPress sites are a purchased theme, a page builder, and a stack of plugins each solving one problem and collectively costing you two seconds of load time. It works until it doesn't — then an update breaks something, and nobody can tell you why.
Custom development means the site does what you need and not much else. Fewer moving parts, faster pages, and a codebase another developer can read.
Forty plugins isn't a website. It's a maintenance liability with a homepage.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Custom theme built to your design, not a purchased one
- Only the plugins that earn their place
- Content structured so you can edit it without breaking layout
- Performance budget enforced through the build
- Security and update practice that doesn't depend on you remembering
- Forms, tracking and analytics wired correctly
- Documentation, so the next person isn't guessing
HOW IT WORKS
Staging first, always. Nothing gets tested on your live site while customers are looking at it.
Roughly three days for a small custom build, longer with commerce, memberships or migrations. You get a staging URL to review before anything goes live.
HONEST NOTE
You own it. All of it.
Hosting in your name, domain in your name, admin access that's actually yours, source files handed over. If you decide to work with someone else, you take the whole thing and they can pick it up. A site you can't leave with isn't a site you own.
NEXT STANDARD
Find out what's under yours.
The audit covers speed, plugin load, security posture and whether you actually own what you think you own. Findings inside 48 to 72 hours, and they're yours whether or not we work together.
